A little girl was killed in an accident earlier this morning when a kombi collided with a haulage truck in Ruwa.
The crash happened at Thornicroft Primary School along Mutare Road and claimed the life of a little girl, according to eyewitnesses. They also reported that several people were injured due to the accident.
One Girl Dies In Ruwa Accident After Kombi Crashed Into A Truck
The eyewitnesses also spoke on how the crash occurred. They revealed that the kombi driver lost control of the vehicle at the Dabuka turnoff along Mutare Road. The commuter omnibus swerved on the road and encroached onto the oncoming lane.
As the kombi veered, it collided head-on with a heavy-laden haulage truck. As soon as the accident happened, people rushed to the scene to rescue the victims before emergency services arrived.
The driver of the kombi was also injured in the accident. The passengers were reportedly rushed to Ruwa Rehabilitation Centre.
Some also took pictures of the accident scene. The kombi was severely damaged from the impact of ramming into the goods truck.
