Over 200 Sibanye-Stillwater workers fired after protest

Sibanye-Stillwater has fired over 200 mineworkers who staged an underground sit-in.

They refused to surface from the Kwezi shaft in Rustenburg earlier this week.

The workers are demanding to be included in the mine’s share scheme.

Meanwhile, tensions are simmering at two other shafts, Bambanani and Kopaneng.
