Panyaza Lesufi promises era of Gauteng communities pleading for service delivery over

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has said that the era of communities pleading for service delivery was over.

Lesufi, alongside Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero, unveiled the accelerated service delivery programme in Soweto on Friday.

The initiative is designed to direct resources toward addressing key issues such as streetlight repairs, fixing pothole fixes and other essential service delivery needs.

Lesufi said this programme would be rolled out to all wards throughout Johannesburg and would be implemented every Friday.

“There is no area that is a no-go for us. We have set out Fridays for this programme. I really believe this is a programme that is an eye-opener, which makes us to understand each and every community. We want to go to each and every area every Friday so that we don’t delay things,” said Lesufi.
