Phillip Chiyangwa Shares Intimate Reasons for Marrying New Wife
Flamboyant Zanu-PF politician and businessman Phillip Chiyangwa caught the general public unawares when he married his new wife Sarah Frankis.
The couple exchanged vows at a private ceremony held at Chiyangwa’s Borrowdale mansion on Friday, surrounded by close family and friends.
The guest list included captains of industry, members of the clergy, and several politicians, including popular Prophet Walter Magaya.

Phillip Chiyangwa Lifts the Lid on His Decision to Wed New Wife
In an interview with H-Metro, Chiyangwa shared why he decided to exchange his bachelorhood for a wedding ring. He revealed that from the moment he first saw Sarah, he knew she was the one.
“It was a long time coming. I had no doubt in my life that she is the one. Since I laid my eyes on her, I knew, Sarah was the one,” Chiyangwa told the tabloid.

A Love That Stood the Test of Time
Chiyangwa dismissed any notion that theirs was a new love, stating that their relationship had stood the test of time and weathered both good and bad times. He expressed excitement about their future together, adding that Sarah is the perfect partner for the next chapter of his life.
“We have been through the best and not so good times but our love is unshaken. We are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives and for that chapter I wouldn’t have chosen a better partner,” Chiyangwa said.
Chiyangwa expressed gratitude to their family and friends for making the wedding day a memorable one.
“I’m grateful to our close family and friends who joined us for the ceremony on Friday. They made the day extra special,” Chiyangwa said.

Chiyangwa’s Previous Marriages
Chiyangwa has had a colourful personal life, with two previous marriages. He first married Elizabeth Jama in 1986, and they had two daughters before divorcing. In 1993, he married Saniso Katerere, but they separated in 2020 after a messy divorce, with Katerere alleging physical, emotional, and verbal abuse.
