President Cyril Ramaphosa has concluded his visit to Harare Zimbabwe where the Southern African Development Community Summit is being held.
Ramphosa led South Africa’s delegation to the 44th Ordinary Summit and participated in various discussions including economic development, regional security, and climate change.
The summit saw leaders from 16 member nations come together to observe Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa assuming the role of chairperson of the regional grouping.
This transition in leadership underscores Zimbabwe’s growing influence within SADC, despite continued human rights abuses by the Mnangagwa regime.
