President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed sadness over the passing of four South African National Defence (SANDF) members in the North West.
The soldiers were found inside a container at a disused mine shaft in Orkney, where they were stationed to fight illegal mining.
It’s believed that all died from carbon monoxide poisoning from a fire they had made to keep warm.
Ramaphosa said his thoughts were with the team of soldiers who discovered the bodies.
