KwaZulu-Natal disaster management teams continue to be on high alert as heavy rainfall hits parts of the province.
The South African Weather Service issued an alert Level 2 warning for the coastal province.
Heavy downpours, strong winds, and heavy lightning are expected in most parts of the province except the north on Wednesday.
The spokesperson for the provincial Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department, Senzelwe Mzila: “This follows a weather warning that has been issued for today [Tuesday] and tomorrow [Wednesday] which indicates that severe thunderstorms could impact large parts of the province.”
He added: “Residents are warned to exercise caution as disaster management teams continue to monitor the situation.”
