In a dramatic turn of events, prominent Zimbabwean businessman and Zanu-PF politician Scott Sakupwanya was reportedly involved in a near fistfight with former Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa.

Mutasa’s Celebration Angers Sakupwanya
According to an eyewitness account, Sakupwanya, who is the Member of Parliament for Mabvuku and the owner of Scottland FC, was incensed by Mutasa’s celebration after the final whistle.
Mutasa, the coach of MWOS, had just seen his team secure a late equalizer, which allowed them to draw the match. His relief was evident as he celebrated by washing his face, a gesture that infuriated Sakupwanya. In some circles, this act is believed to symbolize breaking an enemy’s spell.
Enraged by Mutasa’s celebration, Sakupwanya is reported to have invaded the pitch with the intention of beating up the Dynamos legend. Eyewitness Nickson Mpofu, who shared the details on his Facebook page, stated that the Zanu-PF politician had to be restrained by security personnel to prevent a violent altercation.

Nickson Mpofu shared the incident on his Facebook page, under the name Nick Schiesman Museyamwa, writing:
“There was chaos and mayhem just as the final whistle blew at Ngoni Stadium as a seething Scottland owner Scot Sakupwanya invaded the pitch with intention to beat up MWOS head coach Lloyd Mutasa.
This came after MWOS pulled a late equalizer to cancel a Denver Mukamba first half goal. Sakupwanya was infuriated by Mutasa’s celebration in which the coach washed his face (purportedly breaking the opponent’s spell).
A vicious Mabvuku Member of Parliament aggressively pulled Mutasa in a bid to throw a punch had to be pulled back by security. MWOS coach Mutasa had to run for dear life.”
