Scottland FC, the newly promoted PSL team, has begun construction on a state-of-the-art 15,000-seater stadium in Mabvuku. The groundbreaking ceremony, held earlier today, was attended by scores of people. The stadium, named Mabvuku 1, will serve as the team’s home ground for PSL games starting in 2025.
The facility will not only host PSL matches but also cater to other sports such as basketball and athletics. Furthermore, the stadium will be open for use by the Mabvuku community, promoting a sense of ownership and inclusivity. This development is expected to bring excitement and opportunities to the local residents.
The team’s owner, Pedzai ‘Scott’ Sakupwanya, who is also the Member of House of Assembly for Mabvuku-Tafara, has shown commitment to the community by acquiring buses and an ambulance that will benefit not only the team but also the local residents.
