A self-proclaimed prophet was arrested at the Mugabes’ Blue Roof residence after demanding to see former First Lady Grace Mugabe.
H-Metro reported that Gore Mukondiwa, from Ruwa, is facing a criminal trespass charge after reportedly refusing to leave Mugabe’s property, claiming he had an urgent “prophetic message” for her. He is now suspected by authorities to be a mental health patient and remains in custody following his arrest at the Blue Roof.

According to the prosecution, Mukondiwa arrived at the Blue Roof on Tuesday and approached Constable Talent Matinha, stationed at the entrance. He allegedly identified himself as a prophet and declared he would not leave until he conveyed his message to Mugabe.
Alerted to the situation, Mugabe dismissed the incident as an “act of nuisance” as she was engaged with other visitors. Despite her disinterest, Mukondiwa persisted, leading to his immediate arrest.
The Trespasser Denies Being Mentally Unstable
In court, Mukondiwa maintained his position, telling magistrate Sharon Rakafa:
“I am a spiritual guide and am surprised why the State had applied for me to be examined in terms of the Mental Health Act because I believe I am mentally stable.”
Despite his defence, the court ruled that Mukondiwa be held in custody pending psychiatric evaluations by two mental health practitioners. These assessments are intended to determine his mental state in light of the charges against him.
Authorities remain cautious about security at the estate, emphasising that trespass cases are treated seriously, particularly when there is concern regarding an individual’s mental well-being.
Mukondiwa is set to appear in court again next Thursday after his mental evaluation.
