The Senzo Meyiwa trial stalled for the day in the Pretoria High Court, where ballistic evidence is being heard.
The trial was set to resume on Monday with the State’s ballistic expert back on the witness stand.
Lieutenant-Colonel Chris Mangena is testifying in the trial against five men accused of the football star’s 2014 murder.
Advocate Mnisi, lawyer for the third accused, asked the court for a postponement for Mangena to prepare a chart demonstrating the similarities that he found between the exhibit bullet found on the scene of Senzo Meyiwa’s murder and the test bullets he shot from the gun in order to compare.
This Mangena presented the chart to the court and made copies for the defence, but the defence said it was unable to proceed.
Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng gave the defence the day to study and familiarise themselves with Mangena’s charts for cross-examination on Tuesday.
