The truck just went off the radar and failed to deliver the merchandise on time, spooking the owner. The truck owner notified the Controller On Duty of the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) that he had received intel regarding his hijacked trailer, which the robbers reportedly abandoned in Verulam, KZN.

He sent them a photo from an informant and crucial details about the incident Centre. After assessing the image, Reaction Officers recognised the area and swiftly mobilised to the Old Main Road between Canelands and Tongaat, KZN, where they successfully located the trailer.
