St George appoints Club legend, Fasil Takalign as Head Coach

St George has appointed Club legendy Fasil Takalign as Head Coach ahead of the new season. The 16 times league champions Kedus Giorgis revealed their new head coach to the public after what has been a very disappointing season.

Takalign spent a successful period with St George as a player and his appointment has been well received by the fans. It will be recalled that the Horsemen parted ways with former Coach, Zerihun Shengeta who led them to win back-to-back League titles.

The club has now moved on with Zerihun’s former teammate who worked with him as assistant coach get his position. Fasil Takalign has now signed a two-year contract for St George and said he is happy to be back home.

Takalign comes to the role with plenty of Ethiopia Premier League experience. He had previously served as the head coach of Mechal, Bahir Dar City and Adama City respectively.
