On the image is the Co-founder of Takashinga Cricket Club Givemore Makoni (in white cap and black trousers) digging the wicket at Takashinga Cricket Club in Highfield. The venue hosted matches in the lCC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in June 2023.
Makoni is the current Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket. The club from the ‘ghetto’ has groomed 5 captains, Tatenda Taibu, Elton Chigumbura, Prosper Utseya, Chamu Chibhabha and Hamilton Masakadza). Masakadza was the Zimbabwe Cricket Director of Cricket before he resigned in May 2024.
