The Life Of A Dealer: More Details Emerge On Businessman Kudzai Keita Following Tragic Accident

Details are emerging on businessman Kudzai Keita, who died in a fatal car accident on Tuesday morning in Harare alongside his mother.

The businessman and social media figure was born Edward Takaendesa and sometimes used the Nigerian aloas “Okolo.” His wife, social media influencer Lonlisha Mufari, survived but remains hospitalised with severe injuries.

Only days before his death, Keita reportedly experienced another close call in a mysterious car accident. This incident allegedly pushed him to seek spiritual protection.

A person close to him told H-Metro:

“He had another incident, or you can call it an accident recently, which almost cost him his life, and he felt he needed to seek some kind of protection. The way he escaped that incident pushed him to look for spiritual help,” a source disclosed.

Though Keita was celebrated for his lavish lifestyle, his wealth sources remain a mystery. H-Metro reported that he was “a key figure in diamonds in Zimbabwe and South Africa,” a high-stakes industry known for secrecy.

Sources claim that Keita’s approach to business was unique, with one stating:

“He was quite smart because he had a way of doing his business which was different from others.”

Friends indicated that Keita often used hired vehicles in his dealings, further concealing his trail. “He would hire cars from different car sales, which he would use for his deals,” a source said, revealing that he often returned to South Africa, where he was known for living a life of excess.

Criminal Case

In June, a woman reported being defrauded of US$8,000 in Harare, claiming Keita was involved in the deal.

“If you investigate well, you will get the full story from that woman. On the day she was defrauded, those who hit her were using a hired Honda Fit. The case was reported.”
