A traditional healer known for working between Mozambique and Zimbabwe has been arrested after attempting to murder his client.
The healer, identified as Gerald Makina, 23, is currently cooperating with the police as they investigate claims that he tried to kill a client by setting her home ablaze.
“We have an attempted murder case under investigation in Mt Darwin. The incident involves a traditional healer accused of attempting to kill his client after she demanded a refund for services she claimed were unsuccessful.”
Background of the Dispute
On October 2, a woman named Getrude Kunyepi, 47, sought out the healer for assistance with a personal health issue. Makina allegedly assured her he could address the problem and charged her a fee of $150 for his services, which Kunyepi paid in full.
