US$4.4 Million Ecobank Bulawayo Robbery Latest: ZRP Make Breakthrough

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has made a breakthrough in the US$4,4 million armed robbery case that occurred at an Ecobank branch in Bulawayo early last month.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that police have collected substantial evidence, leading them closer to the six suspects believed to be behind the heist. The suspects, reportedly operating as a cross-border criminal gang, are said to reside in South Africa, returning to Zimbabwe only to execute robberies.

Specialised police units have been dispatched across Bulawayo and surrounding areas to intensify the search.
