Parked Swiss Bus Moved And Crushed Man To Death At Beitbridge Border Post
The Masvingo Mirror reported that the bus allegedly moved from its parking spot with no driver on the steering wheel. It then started rolling and ran over a man who was in its path.
The Swiss Bus dragged him along the road, squeezing him to the ground for a short distance. The victim got stuck under the heavy vehicle after it ran over him.
In a video circulating online, the bus had just screeched to a halt, and the man was still stuck underneath. Some members of the public were peeping under the bus to locate and rescue the man. The bus had dislodged a boom gate and a shade as it moved with no driver to stop it in the dead of the night.
The accident victim remained trapped beneath the bus and later died because people at the border and medical services were not swift enough to rescue him.
