In a grand gesture, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Tino Machakaire has blessed Sungura legend Alick Macheso with a whooping US$10k money gift.

Alick Macheso launched his much-anticipated album titled ‘Kupa Kuturika’ last night.
The sungura maestro filled up Alex Sports Club as scores of people thronged his album launch event in their numbers. He performed the songs off his brand new album, which consisted of six tracks, namely: “Kuverengera,” “Undiregererewo,” “Zvichada Hama,” “Murangarire,” “Kunditaya,” and “Hunhu Hwakashata
Alick shut down Alex Sport Club with his impressive performances and left his fans wanting more.
Minister Machakaire Gifts US$10k to Alick Macheso
So good was his performance that Minister Machakaire decided to gift him US$10k. Minister Machakire expressed his love for Alick Macheso and his music as declared that he is his best friend. Minister Machakaire said that he is going to support him. He wished him well as he gifted him the money.
“Makorokoto BaShero. May God Bless you. We love you. We wish you the best. Ndai Mwari akuyitira zvakanaka. We love you ma fans aBa Shero. May God bless you all. We love you, we are one family,” he said.
Alick Macheso expressed gratitude to Minister Machakaire and revealed that the Minister promised his a truck.

Minister’s Long-Standing Appreciation for Macheso’s Music Evident in Past Gesture
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Minister Machakaire has appreciated Alick Macheso with a grand gesture.
In 2022, Minister Machakaire bought Alick Macheso’s 12th album ‘Tinosvitswa Nashe, for US10 000.
He bought the album during Alick Macheso’s executive album launch, which was held at Rainbow Towers.
Speaking after buying the CD, Minister Tino Machakaire said that him buying the CD was his token of appreciation to the music legend.
I have known @alickmacheso3 for a very long time. In all my interactions with him with him, he is very humble and respectful. The CD that I purchased tonight goes beyond just paying for music but it is my token of appreciation to the Living Legend. May he live long !
