A Marriage Marred by Infidelity
John Kapita and Marvellous Mercy Kudzara, who were married for five years, made headlines after they decided to celebrate their split.
Speaking to H-Metro, John revealed that his wife had cheated on him with six different men, an ordeal he endured for years.
“I forgave her the first time, especially since we had struggled for two years to conceive a child. But even after the birth of our one-and-a-half-year-old child, she continued cheating,” John revealed.
Celebrating Peaceful Separation
Rather than ending their marriage in animosity, the couple opted for a peaceful celebratory resolution. They held a separation party, complete with music and dancing to inform their neighbours of their decision to part ways.
John stated, “We sat down and agreed to separate peacefully. We played music to let our neighbours know we’ve finally found peace. I allowed her to collect everything, and I’m ready to start a new life,” John stated.
A video showing the couple partying up a storm has since emerged on social media.

Wife Moves Out with Lover’s Help
Meanwhile, adding to the drama, Marvellous reportedly enlisted one of her lovers, a truck driver, to help her move out of the matrimonial home. The scene drew the attention of neighbours, who were surprised by the couple’s unusual approach.
Concerns for John’s Mental Health After Separation
John’s friends and colleagues expressed concern for his mental health following the separation. One of his workmates revealed that they have been checking up on him on a daily basis.
“We are worried about John following his separation with his wife of five years. He might take his life because it is not normal for a man who has been cheated on to behave that way. We are checking on him daily.”
Despite these concerns, John insisted that he felt relieved and liberated from what he described as an abusive relationship.
