The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has called on parents who have applied for placements for the 2025 school year to confirm their school of choice by 14 June 2024.
On Wednesday, it announced that parents would be able to view the status of grade 1 and 8 applications on its website.
The department said that if a child had been placed, a confirmation button would appear, allowing applicants to accept the allocated school.
Parents have also been urged to accept their placements as soon as possible, to make space for other pupils not placed yet.
This is especially important for learners who have received offers from multiple schools.
