Our #WCW today is Samantha Shingirai Muzoroki, a Zimbabwean lawyer and humanitarian who has made a significant impact in her community through her selfless work.
Samantha spent her childhood in Chitungwiza, where she attended primary school at St. Mary’s Elementary. She then moved to Harare for her secondary education at St. Dominic’s High School. Her academic excellence earned her a scholarship to study social work at the University of Zimbabwe.
After completing her studies, Samantha pursued a career in law and became a successful immigration lawyer, assisting immigrants into South Africa and those emigrating from South Africa to Australia, Canada, and the USA.
However, during the COVID-19 lockdown in Zimbabwe, Samantha’s passion for helping others led her to establish the Kuchengetana Trust, a relief kitchen in Chitungwiza’s Seke Unit A suburb. As the founder of Kuchengetana Trust, Samantha has been instrumental in providing food, clothing, and hope to vulnerable members of her community. Through her organization, she has fed over 1600 hungry local youths whose parents couldn’t provide for them, making international news headlines and earning recognition as a dedicated humanitarian.
Apart from her humanitarian work, Samantha continues to practice law, using her expertise to assist those in need. Her dedication to both her legal work and humanitarian efforts demonstrates her commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in her community.
Samantha’s story is a testament to the power of kindness, generosity, and selflessness. She is a true role model and inspiration to many, showing that one person can make a significant difference in the lives of others. Her selflessness, compassion, and tireless efforts to help others are a reminder that we all have the power to make a difference.
We celebrate Samantha Muzoroki today as our #WCW and recognize her remarkable journey, dedication, and impact on her community.
