‘We’ve come to a dead end’ – Police on Joshlin Smith disappearance

Police in the Western Cape says they’ve not made further progress in their investigation into the disappearance of Joshlin Smith.

The six-year-old girl has been missing for more than three months now. She was last seen at home in Saldanha Bay in February.

Joshlin’s mother and four co-accused have since been arrested and charged with kidnapping and human trafficking.

Provincial Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said investigators have explored all possible leads.

“We followed every lead – but we have come to a dead end. Every lead that has been given to us, we extended our net countrywide, worldwide, not even countrywide, worldwide.”
