Controversial ZANU-PF apologist Wicknell Chivayo is flaunting a new Lexus he purchased recently and taunted naysayers.
Wicknell Chivayo took delivery of the sport utility vehicle (SUV) recently and could not resist splashing it all over social media.
The Lexus LX 500d
Chivayo recently bought a white Lexus LX 500d, delivered to his imposing multi-million dollar Gletwyn mansion.
The beast is powered by a V6 3.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine that delivers 304 horsepower and control “without compromise”. It can also accelerate up to 210km per hour and move from 0 to 100km in 8 seconds.
The 5.1-metre-long SUV has a 10-speed automatic that does transmission duties, and it has a very comprehensive 4WD off-road package similar to that of the Land Cruiser.
The Lexus LX 500d has a push-button start switch with fingerprint authentication for security. It has ventilated seats fitted with heaters.
The Lexus LX 500d costs about US$120,000 in South Africa.

Chivayo posted his new car on his socials, and when he reshared it on X, one page commented, “Mbavha.”

Chivayo has had a year to forget. It all started when audios leaked of him bragging that he has the tender system under his grip. He alleged that he will get priority whenever there is a government project tender. It also emerged that he pocketed millions from the 2023 elections supplies tender as an agent for Ren-Form.
After the leaks, including his private messages coaxing married women, he kept a low profile online. The new Lexus is the first time he has posted about a new car purchase since the scandals.
