“All the credit belongs to Almighty God. It’s grace,” he says. “At the start of 2024, I couldn’t have predicted this, but by His grace, we made it. This year has truly been a beautiful one for me.”
Zitha took on multiple roles in 2024, including the character Lungelo in Blood Legacy. Collaborating with Netflix was a long-held dream that came true, solidifying his position as a versatile and sought-after actor.
“The entertainment industry is unpredictable,” Zitha notes, “but putting my faith in God has helped me navigate the challenges.”
A Shift in Focus
The actor credits his success this year to a shift in priorities. He chose to focus more on his work, prioritize his faith, and limit social distractions.
“I believe I put in the work, and this year my focus was different from previous years. GOD was at the center, and I truly locked in. There was less hanging out with friends and much more focus on work,” he shares.
This disciplined approach has not only helped him excel professionally but also maintain his mental health and privacy.

“I don’t think being everywhere is a great idea, especially for your sanity,” he says. “Not everything needs to be shared online. Focus on work, return home, and protect your private life. People respect you more with a clean profile.”

“The entertainment industry may seem big, but it’s small. Treat people well, and they’ll do the same,” he advises.
Challenges and Growth
Zitha’s most challenging role this year was portraying Mamaila in Queen Modjadji. The character required him to learn Khelobedu, a language he had no prior experience with.
“It was challenging due to the language because I had to take Khelobedu classes. But as actors, we need challenges to grow and discover our abilities. After all, you won’t know what you can do unless you try,” he says. “I’m open to failure and learning.”
This mindset has been pivotal in his journey, allowing him to embrace growth and overcome obstacles.
Lessons in Faith and Gratitude
For Zitha, faith and gratitude have been central to his personal and professional development.
“I had to learn to trust God in all that I do,” he reflects. “I’ve also realized that gratitude attracts more blessings. While I desired more, I took the time to thank God for what I have and to live in the moment. Additionally, I’ve learned to trust myself more.”
Recognition and Future Plans
Zitha’s achievements were capped by being named GQ’s Rising Star of 2024, a recognition that he describes as an honor.
“It’s such a beautiful honor; I feel seen and like I’m heading in the right direction. Honestly, I’m just grateful to God. I still say it’s not by might nor power, but by His grace,” he says.
Looking ahead to 2025, Zitha remains optimistic about the future, hinting at exciting projects on the horizon.
“All I can say is that God has been amazing in my life and has kept His promises to me,” he concludes.
