ZAOGA Expells Randy Married Pastor For Impregnating Congregants & Stealing Church Funds

ZAOGA Pastor Accused of Preying on Congregants and Stealing Church Money

A married pastor at ZAOGA FIF Church has been expelled after shocking allegations of misconduct. Overseer Joel Chinhema, based in Bindura, was accused of impregnating two female congregants and embezzling church funds.

Confession Before the Board

Chinhema was dismissed last week by the church’s Day-to-Day Committee, a disciplinary body of senior bishops stationed at the church’s headquarters in Waterfalls, Harare.

A source within the church told H-Metro:

“Baba Chinhema confessed to impregnating two women from the congregation. He is married and was expected to lead by example, but he failed to live up to the church’s principles of ‘Fear Not, Sin Not.’”

The source added that the overseer had also been accused of mismanaging church funds:

“On top of the adultery, there are cases of fraud and embezzlement of church money. This has left many congregants feeling betrayed.”

Chinhema was ordered to vacate the church property in Bindura and surrender his official vehicle, a Toyota GD6.

Allegations of Preying on Women

Further allegations have surfaced, suggesting that Chinhema targeted widows, divorced women, and even young girls seeking spiritual guidance.

Another church insider stated:
“He sent inappropriate pictures to a single lady in an attempt to lure her. She reported the harassment, and this became part of the case against him.”

The source also alleged neglect of his other children:

“He has been failing to support his children. Some of the women he impregnated came forward, exposing him for child neglect.”

It is also claimed that Chinhema had protection from certain church leaders who covered up his actions during his rise from junior pastor to overseer.

Church Leaders Decline Comment

Efforts to get an official comment from ZAOGA FIF leadership have been unsuccessful. Secretary-General Apostle Mishael Nyambo referred all inquiries to his deputy, Apostle Steve Simukai, who was unreachable at the time of publication.

Chinhema, too, declined to speak on the matter.

The church, which has spread to over 160 nations, is yet to release a formal statement on the issue.
