The devastating news of the untimely death of young Bathabile Meshia Sibanda has left her family in deep sorrow and despair. Bathabile, a promising student enrolled at Vincent Pol University in Lublin, Poland, tragically passed away after a short illness. Her mother, Khawulani Sibanda, who is currently in Zimbabwe, is appealing for assistance in repatriating her daughter’s body back home.
Bathabile was pursuing a Long Cycle Masters Studies in Physiotherapy at the university, with her program scheduled to end on the 31st of March, 2029. The family was informed that the cause of her death was undisclosed cancer in the stomach, as revealed by the postmortem report. Described as a young, quiet, and introverted individual, Bathabile was not widely known by many, despite being a first-semester physiotherapy student at VPU and only 22 years old.
The Sibanda family had invested all their savings in Bathabile’s education, and they are now facing financial difficulties in repatriating her body to Zimbabwe. In a heartwarming gesture of solidarity, fellow students are coming together to assist in arranging the necessary paperwork for the repatriation process. However, additional support is needed to cover the costs involved.
To help bring Bathabile back to her homeland, donations can be made through a GoFundMe page or by contacting friends and family for more information. Those in Poland can reach out to Siphosenkosi at +48731347351, while Bathabile’s mother can be contacted at +263774094886. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in easing the burden on the grieving family and honoring the memory of a young life lost too soon.
