The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) has released the June 2024 Ordinary and Advanced Level examination results. The results show a mixed bag of performance, with a notable improvement at the Ordinary Level and a decline at the Advanced Level.
At the Ordinary Level, a pass rate of 4.44% was recorded, marking a significant improvement from the 0.46% pass rate achieved in June last year. This upward trend is a welcome development, indicating a positive shift in student performance.
However, the Advanced Level results told a different story, with a pass rate of 31.67%. This represents a substantial decline from the 75.89% achieved in June 2023, marking a 44.22% decrease in the overall pass rate.
Candidates can access their results online from the Zimsec website from August 6, 2024, at 12 pm. Heads of schools can collect results from Zimsec regional offices from August 7, 2024.
