ZRP Names Women Who Assaulted Side Chick at Borehole in Viral Video as New Details Emerge
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released the names of three women arrested in connection with a viral video that shows them assaulting another woman, whom they accused of having an affair with one of their husbands.
ZRP Names Suspects in Viral Assault Video
In a statement on Wednesday afternoon, Deputy National Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Blessmore Chishaka confirmed the arrests of Patience Saunyama (40), Gloria Gara (30), and Juliet Charanjeru (23).
Chishaka also clarified that, although the video recently gained attention, the incident occurred last month.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of the three suspects, Patience Saunyama (40), Gloria Gara (30) and Juliet Charanjeru (23) in connection with the assault case which occurred at a borehole at Dzimbiti Village, Saunyama, Nyanga on 12th August 2024,” Assistant Commissioner Blessmore Chishaka said.

ZRP Investigating Other Viral Assault Cases
The ZRP also stated that it is investigating other cases of assault that have recently gone viral on social media
“Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Republic Police is also investigating other assault cases circulating on social media platforms,” Assistant Commissioner Blessmore Chishaka added.
Public Cooperation and Call for Peaceful Resolution
The ZRP praised the public for their assistance in the arrests and urged everyone to avoid violence when resolving disputes.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police applauds the public for supplying useful information that aids in combating crime in the country. Meanwhile, members of the public are implored not to take the law into their own hands but they should make use of other peaceful ways to resolve disputes,” Assistant Commissioner Blessmore Chishaka concluded.
