At 29 years old, Vimbai holds the distinction of being the first young black female to own a safari lodge in Africa. Her lodge, Batoka Africa, is situated near the Zambezi National Park, just a few kilometres from the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. She co-founded Batoka Africa with her mother, Tsitsi Masiyiwa.
