Shamiso Pretty Bvukure, an 18-year-old from Chitungwiza’s Murisa Park, has been convicted of forgery. She altered her O-Level ZIMSEC results to join the Zimbabwe Republic Police, changing failing grades to passes.
The deception was uncovered during a routine verification on October 11, 2024. Discrepancies in her results slip revealed significant grade alterations, including mathematics from “U” to “C,” English from “U” to “B” and Shona from “E” to “A.” Additional false subjects were listed.
Bvukure received a 12-month sentence, with six months suspended for five years on good behavior. The remaining six months will be served as 210 hours of community service.
