Energy Moyo from Lobenvale suburb in Bulawayo decided to file for divorce from his wife of nine years, Angela Dube after having vivid dreams of her cheating on him with another man.
He said that whenever he had those dreams, he would wake up convinced that his wife Angela Dube was unfaithful. In these disturbing dreams, he claimed his wife was romantically involved with another man.
In his application yet to be heard at the Bulawayo Customary Court, Energy Moyo revealed that he has had recurring dreams showing his wife having a romantic relationship with their neighbour. He stated that in this dreams his wife seems to be keeping a secret from him or hiding something from him.
“We’ve been married for nine years, but since the beginning, I’ve had recurring dreams where my wife seems to be lying or hiding something from me. I experienced vivid dreams where my wife was in a romantic relationship with another man who happens to be our neighbour and upon confronting her, she claimed my explanations were inadequate and failed to address her concerns.”
He argued that most of the dreams feel like warnings. Moyo stated that even though he does not have concrete evidence that his wife has cheated on him, the constant dreams makes him feel like she is keeping secrets from him.
“Most of these dreams feel like warnings. I’ve even dreamt of her cheating, although I have no reason to believe she ever has. Regardless, the constant dreams make me feel like she’s keeping secrets,” Moyo’s application reads in part.
Because of these recurring dreams, Energy Moyo argued that the dreams have strained their marriage and that there was no love between him and his wife.
