Midlands State University (MSU) has reminded its August 2024 first-year students of the dates to note as they prepare to start their classes.
The institution’s second semester starts next Monday, 29 July 2024, and it has reminded its freshman class about important dates they should heed.
Registration, Orientation And Accommodation For The August 2024 Intake Students At MSU
MSU issued a statement online, informing its first-year students that conventional students will be checking into the university’s residence on Sunday, 28 July 2024. The university will start orientation, acclimatising students to the institution, on Monday, 29 July 2024.
After the orientation week, lectures for 1.1 students will start on Monday, 5 August 2024.
Students who have not yet found accommodation can still apply on a first-come, first-served basis. Accommodation is still available at the MSU Gweru and Zvishavane Campuses.
MSU Harare And Bulawayo Weekend School
Unlike the Gweru and Zvishavane campuses, the MSU Harare Weekend School undergraduate students started orientation and registration on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Postgraduate students commenced the process on Sunday. Lectures in Harare will begin on Friday, August 2, 2024.
First-year MSU students who will be at the Bulawayo Weekend School will begin registering and kick off the orientation week from 3 to 4 August. Once registration closes, lectures will start on 10 August 2024.
What About Visiting And Block Release Students?
However, the registration and orientation dates might be different for visiting and/or block-release students who are joining Midlands State University. The institution informed visiting and block students to consult with their faculties for specific registration and orientation dates.
MSU said:
“Prospective students are reminded to bring original and certified copies of their Academic Certificates, Birth Certificates and identity documents for the verification process. All prospective students are advised that they can bring their documents during Orientation Week for instant admission. Visit our website at www.msu.ac.zw to view programmes on offer.
