In a shocking turn of events that exemplifies the saying “what is done in the dark will always come to light,” Zimdancehall chanter Ras Pompy has been exposed for sleeping with his friend’s mother.

The explosive secret came to light during an attempted murder trial involving Ras Pompoy’s friend Wesley Eroyi Shoniwa of Mbare.

Court Proceedings

Wesley found himself in court after allegedly stabbing his uncle during a heated altercation over the affair between his mother and Ras Pompy. Wesley appeared before Magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa to face charges of attempted murder after the confrontation with his uncle, who had accused him of harassing his mother. Wesley was remanded in custody until Friday for bail considerations.

Ras Pompy Sleeps With Friend’s Mother

Wesley let the cat out of the bag when the magistrate asked him if he understood the gravity of the charges he is facing, Shoniwa said he had been acting out in protest because his mother for sleeping with Ras Pompy.

“We are here because my mother is sleeping with Ras Pompy, how can she sleep with someone of my age when she can easily find someone her age to sleep with,” Wesley told the court.

Friend Humiliated as Ras Pompy Beds His Mother

He went on to explain that the alleged affair had made him a target of ridicule in his neighbourhood. His anger boiled over when his uncle, who had taken his mother’s side, questioned him about harassing her.

“Everyone in the (neighbour)hood has been laughing at me over this issue because her boyfriend is my friend and is way younger than my mother so when my uncle asked me about it taking her side, I was infuriated and stabbed him,” he said.

Details of the Stabbing

It is the State’s case that Wesley Shoniwa stabbed his uncle, who is his mother’s brother with a knife on his shoulder on Monday. The incident occurred when Wesley’s uncle attempted to intervene after Wesley allegedly threatened and verbally assaulted his mother
