Job Purpose
World Vision Zimbabwe is seeking a Behaviour Change Field Facilitator to support the implementation of gender-based violence (GBV) prevention interventions at the district level. The successful candidate will work in close coordination with the Ministry of Women Affairs and various stakeholders across public, private, and NGO sectors. Reporting to the Behaviour Change Programme Coordinator, the facilitator will compile detailed activity reports and ensure effective implementation of the programme at the grassroots level.

Key Responsibilities
Program Management
-
Lead implementation of GBV demand creation activities within the district.

Advocate for GBV prevention and reporting with traditional, religious, political, and administrative leaders.

Engage in consultative meetings with key district-level stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Women Affairs, Social Services, and the National AIDS Council.

Plan, budget, and facilitate advocacy meetings, capacity-building sessions, and community volunteer training.

Ensure gender mainstreaming across all major community events.

Manage program resources at district level, including finances, assets, and personnel.
Team Leadership

Oversee recruitment and training of district-level community volunteers.

Supervise and mentor the Graduate Intern and Program Driver, promoting growth and accountability.
Monitoring & Reporting

Compile and submit accurate weekly and monthly activity reports.

Contribute to the preparation of quarterly program performance reports.
Program Documentation & Materials Development

Develop Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials tailored to local community needs.

Collect and document evidence-based outcomes and success stories to demonstrate program impact.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in community development work.

Proven experience engaging stakeholders at grassroots level.

Strong knowledge of gender issues and GBV prevention.

Familiarity with multi-sectoral development approaches.

Effective community mobilization skills and experience liaising with local leadership.

Practical experience working with decentralized government structures.

Cultural sensitivity and the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
-
A valid Class 4 driver’s license.
