Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ), a leading organisation in the provision of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, is seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to join its team as Roving Mentors in Masvingo (1 position) and Manicaland (1 position). Operating as an affiliate of Marie Stopes International Reproductive Choices (MSI), PSZ is dedicated to delivering modern, affordable, and quality family planning services in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care and other key stakeholders.
About the Role
As part of PSZ’s Programs department, the Roving Mentor will play a vital role in enhancing the delivery of high-impact reproductive health services under the Public Sector Support (PSS) channel. This fixed-term role is ideal for professionals eager to make a measurable difference in Zimbabwe’s public health sector.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

Coordinate PSZ’s PSS programme activities in the assigned region.

Conduct monthly supervision and supportive visits to district hospitals and clinics.

Foster strong working relationships with MoHCC, ZNFPC, and other key stakeholders.

Lead clinical audits and provide technical training on SRH and family planning.

Collaborate with District Health Executives to build local health system capacities and improve access to medical products.

Organise and lead regional PSS meetings and health programme planning sessions.

Partner with the Marketing and Communications team to support outreach and mobilization initiatives.

Ensure sound programme implementation through budget management, grant oversight, and robust monitoring and evaluation tools.

Candidate Profile
To thrive in this role, applicants should have:

A Diploma or Degree in General Nursing, Community Nursing, or Clinical Services.

A Diploma in Midwifery and valid Family Planning Certificate (including LARCs training).

A current practising certificate from the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe.
-
A Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field (advantageous).
-
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.

Experience in the public health sector is highly desirable.

Strong communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
-
Proficiency in computer applications and report writing.

A valid Class 4 driver’s licence (Class 3 is an added bonus).
