Double Barika! ZimParks Boss in Double Marriage Scandal

A double marriage scandal erupted at a lobola ceremony in Wedza, leaving onlookers stunned. Nomsa Chitsaka, the ZimParks Director of Commercial Services, was all set for her traditional wedding ceremony, only for Private Investigator Tafadzwa Chidawa to arrive with explosive claims: both Chitsaka and her fiancé are allegedly still legally married to other people.

“Legally Married to Others”

Chidawa’s unexpected presence threw the ceremony into chaos. In a viral video, he revealed, “Both of the individuals are still legally married.”

Although Chidawa did not name either party involved, iHarare was able to confirm the identity of the bride-to-be as Nomsa Chitsaka, a director at the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority.

The Zimparks Director was revealed to have had a lavish white wedding, resulting in the birth of two children. Since this marriage is still legally valid, Chitsaka is prohibited from marrying another person, as doing so would constitute the crime of bigamy.

Chidawa revealed that he was hired by the wife of Chitsaka’s fiancé, who wanted to stop the impending marriage.

Approaching Chitsaka’s father directly, Chidawa warned him of the potential consequences. “If this marriage goes ahead,” he stated, “both parties could face charges of bigamy.”

He cited Zimbabwe’s Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, which prohibits a person from remarrying while still legally married.

High-Level ZRP Officer Refuses to Assist

According to Chidawa, when Chitsaka learned of his presence at the ceremony, she attempted to contact a top officer in the Zimbabwe Republic Police for help in pushing the ceremony forward.

However, Chidawa revealed that the senior officer declined to intervene, stating he “would not assist in breaking the law.”

Chidawa’s revelations have ignited intense discussion online, as his video has now gone viral. “I’ll be sharing more information on this case,” Chidawa promised, with the public eagerly awaiting further updates.

Legal Consequences of Bigamy

Under Zimbabwean law, bigamy is the act of marrying another person while knowingly still married. For both Chitsaka and her fiancé, should they proceed with the marriage, they could be fined or even face prison time.
