“Dima Wydad”: Cassius Mailula Confirms His Departure From Wydad AC
Toronto FC forward Cassius Mailula has penned a heartfelt statement as he parts ways with Moroccan giants Wydad AC following the conclusion of his season-long loan.
Mailula, who joined Wydad AC from MLS side Toronto FC, leaves the club after making 36 appearances during his loan spell.

Gratitude for Teammates and Staff
Cassius Mailula confirmed his departure from Wydad AC in a statement on Instagram.
“Dear Wydad family, it is with a heavy heart that I write this message, as I want to let you all know that I will not be continuing with the team for the upcoming season,” Mailula wrote on his Instagram platform.
My time with Wydad has been an incredibly special and rewarding experience. I will forever be grateful for it.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns player expressed deep appreciation for everyone who supported him during his time in Casablanca. He thanked the club’s staff, technical team, and his fellow players for making his experience special and rewarding.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. From the security staff to the technical team, to my teammates, your kindness and support has meant the world to me. You all hold a very special place in my heart.”
Mailula described Wydad as having a special place in his heart, highlighting the warmth and kindness he received on and off the pitch.
Special Thanks to Leadership and Coach Mokwena
In his message, Mailula also extended gratitude to club president Hicham Ait Menna for affording him the opportunity to represent Wydad.
He reserved special mention for his former coach, Rulani Mokwena, crediting him for his belief and guidance that shaped him into the player he is today.
“I must also thank the president [Hicham Ait Menna] for giving me the incredible opportunity to represent Wydad, and coach Rulani for his unwavering belief in me. Without his trust, I wouldn’t be the player I am today.
“I wish the club, the fans, and everyone involved nothing but continued success in the upcoming season and beyond. Dima Wydad.”
