Evans Gwekwerere, a former player for Dynamos, has finally received partial payment of the money owed to him since 2016. The payment, amounting to US$17,000, is a significant step towards resolving the long-standing dispute between Gwekwerere and the club.
Gwekwerere had initially been owed US$27,000, but has reduced the amount to US$20,000, with US$3,000 still outstanding. The former player had taken drastic measures to seek payment, approaching the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to block Dynamos from participating in championships due to the club’s outstanding legal and financial obligations to him.
