ZIFA has raised the bar for its presidential hopefuls, requiring at least five O-level qualifications. This decision was made at today’s Annual General Meeting in Harare, with 48 councillors voting in favor and eight opposing.
The new requirement aims to ensure future presidents possess a strong academic foundation to effectively manage the organization’s financial, administrative, and technical aspects. This move aligns with international best practices in sports governance, promoting professionalism and competence.
As ZIFA seeks improved leadership, notable figures like Prophet Walter Magaya, Peter Ndlovu, Charles Mabika, and Tapuwa Kapini will br vying for the presidency in the upcoming elections to select a new ZIFA president.
