The congregation remains divided as hope for Khulekani’s return clashes with the practical need for closure. For Khulekani’s wife, Nomkhosi, the uncertainty has weighed heavily. While MaMzobe and Ndlovu continue to propagate the idea that Khulekani will return, Nomkhosi has slowly accepted the reality of his presumed death. She feels that finding and burying Khulekani’s body is the least she can do to honor him, especially given the tension and power struggle that led to his ultimate fate.
Nomkhosi’s acceptance opens the door for the family and congregation to begin the healing process. She believes that only by giving him a dignified burial can they truly move forward.
