In addition to military-grade training equipment, drugs and other contraband were discovered at an illegal military training camp in Mpumalanga on Friday.
Police raided a secluded farm in White River and arrested 95 Libyan nationals.
Working in conjunction with the home affairs, police are investigating the matter while the department will look into the validity of the suspects’ visas.
“We also found dagga and cocaine. Some of the other drugs found in their possession are being sent to the SAPS Forensic Science Laboratory,” said police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
Home Affairs says preliminary information has revealed that all 95 suspects misrepresented themselves on their visa applications, claiming to be coming to the country for training to be security guards.
