President Cyril Ramaphosa says the United Nations needs to be inclusive. He says it needs to represent the current geopolitical relations and prevailing international realities. President Ramaphosa was addressing the 2nd Foreign Ministers meeting of the G20 in New York. The meeting is held on the margins of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Ramaphosa emphasises the importance of global cooperation in tackling pressing issues such as climate change, economic inequality, and sustainable development.
He adds that the challenges facing the world may be daunting but are not insurmountable.
South Africa will assume the G20 Presidency in 2025.
