The President’s son, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Kuda Mnangagwa, is now a registered lawyer.
Deputy Finance Minister Kuda Mnangagwa Admitted As A Registered Lawyer
Mnangagwa was admitted today at a ceremony at the High Court of Zimbabwe. In pictures circulating online, he was wearing a court gown, elatedly smiling at becoming a registered legal practitioner.
In one of the pictures, he stood with his wife and other colleagues who were also admitted as practitioners.
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion shared the development on its X account:
Kuda Mnangagwa studied for a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree at the University of Zimbabwe from 2019 to 2023. This was to add to some of the professional qualifications that he already holds.

Qualifications and Work Experience That The President’s Son Has
In 2011, Mnangagwa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in the United States of America. His studies focused on Business Administration and Actuarial Science. In 2022, he completed a Degree program in Tourism and Hospitality at Lupane State University.
After graduating from Drake University in 2011, Mnangagwa worked as an Actuarial Associate at Aon Hewitt in the United States. He also actively participated in operational and decision-making processes as a board member of the National Building Society in Zimbabwe from 2015 to 2020.
Mnangagwa is one of the founding partners of Flame Lily Venture Capital Group, a private equity investment and advisory firm focused on financial services, mining, real estate, and construction in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. His other company, Bentach Resources, renovated the Kudzanayi Bus Terminus in Gweru.
