A tragic incident occurred in Rushinga where a primary school teacher is accused of fatally assaulting and killing his ex-wife during a domestic dispute last Friday.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the unfortunate event.
“I can confirm a murder case in Rushinga where a primary school teacher allegedly assaulted his wife, who was also a secondary teacher, leading to her death in a domestic dispute,” stated Mundembe.
Details of the Incident That led to the murder
According to reports, Muchembere, who was legally prohibited by a protection order from visiting his ex-wife, approached the now-deceased Christina Bhaureni (46). The two reportedly had a confrontation over an undisclosed issue.
After the initial argument, Muchembere returned to his house but came back a few hours later armed with a screwdriver.
He knocked on Bhaureni’s window. When she looked out and saw him holding the screwdriver, she screamed for help, prompting him to flee the scene.
