Over 2,000 women were left disappointed and out of pocket after falling victim to scammers selling fake tickets and tags for the popular Doek and Slay event held at Alex Sports Club on Sunday.

According to event organizers, a staggering 708 bogus tickets and 1,452 phony tags were discovered, with the affected individuals being turned away at the door.

Despite the setback, the event still managed to attract a massive crowd of over 13,000 ladies, who came to enjoy the festivities and celebrate African culture.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the prevalence of scams and fraudulent activities targeting unsuspecting event-goers. Event organizers and authorities are urged to take measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
