Popular socialite Mai Jeremaya, whose real name is Ashley Masendeke, got candid during an in-depth interview with DJ Ollah on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, sharing personal stories about her early love life and the challenges of becoming a mother at a young age.
Reflecting on her university days, she revealed that she lost her virginity during her first year at Midlands State University (MSU). Surprisingly, she said neither she nor her partner realized it had happened at the time. It took several attempts, and months later, for her to understand what had actually occurred.

She described how things began to shift once she got a job at BancABC after completing her third-year industrial attachment. With a steady income, her lifestyle expectations grew, but her partner struggled to keep up.
