VIDEO: Alick Macheso Pokes Fun at Silent Killer Over Plane Crash Excuse
Legendary Sungura musician Alick Macheso has taken a light-hearted jab at Zimdancehall artist Silent Killer, who recently made headlines for missing a UK show under strange circumstances.
Silent Killer, real name Jimmy Mudereri, shocked fans when he failed to board his flight to the United Kingdom. According to him, he had a vivid dream that the plane was going to crash, and that fear led him to cancel the trip at the last minute. Of course, the plane landed safely, and many online have since poked fun at his dramatic excuse.

Joining in the banter, Macheso couldn’t resist making a cheeky remark during a recent press conference. In a video shared by Zimbolive on Saturday, 19 April, he mimicked the bizarre claim:
“Mumwe akatotaura kuti, ‘Handisi kuuya. Ndege inenge irikuda kudonha. Yanzi irikuda kudonha ndege iyoyo.’”
But the legendary singer didn’t stop there. He took the opportunity to comment on a more serious issue affecting many young artists today — drug abuse. He expressed concern that drugs are derailing promising talent in the music industry.
Macheso pointed out how some young people have physically deteriorated from drug use.
“Vamwe vacho tirikuvaona kuti mwana wangu uyu aipfeka size 42 but izvino akupfeka size 28. Svondo rega rega unenge achitakura mbatya kunodzoresa kwa tailor kunodzoresa. Nekuda kwechinhu chatirikuona kuti chinhu ichi chirikuuraya vana saizvozvo vari vaduku. Vane zvipo zvavo,” Macheso said.
