Development of Impilo Travel Health – Port Health Management Information System

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zimbabwe is inviting qualified individual consultants to submit proposals for the development of the Impilo Travel Health – Port Health Management Information System, a crucial digital infrastructure project aimed at modernizing Zimbabwe’s port health surveillance and response mechanisms.

This opportunity falls under the scope of UNDP’s digital health and governance strengthening efforts, as Zimbabwe seeks to enhance its public health capabilities, particularly at points of entry. The consultancy will span 60 working days over a six-month period, during which the selected expert will work closely with the Ministry of Health and Child Care and other national stakeholders to build a responsive, secure, and interoperable health information system.

Assignment Objective

The primary objective of this consultancy is to develop a comprehensive Port Health Management Information System (PHMIS) named Impilo Travel Health to facilitate real-time data collection, analysis, and sharing at all official ports of entry. The system will streamline health surveillance of travelers, improve health data management, and ensure swift responses to cross-border health threats.
