Title Race Heats Up as Scottland Close the Gap
On the field, Scottland FC impressed with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Simba Bhora. Second-half substitute Michael Tapera, who replaced Tymon Machope, came off the bench to score twice, netting the opener in the 80th minute and sealing the win just before the final whistle.
The result was a big one in the title race as Scottland FC trimmed the three point gap between them and MWOS FC. Scottland now sit second on the log with 22 points from 11 matches; just one point behind leaders MWOS FC. The gap narrowed after MWOS dropped points in a 2-2 draw against TelOne at Ngoni Stadium in Norton. MWOS remain on top with 23 points, but the pressure is mounting as Scottland FC close in.
